Mel Tolledo – Nursing/Home Health Care

mel tolledoBorn the 4th of December, this Sagitarrian is a true care topnotch in her own ways. Melencia Tolledo, or Mel as fondly called by many, earned her Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing at the De Ocampo Memorial College, Manila, Philippines.
Ms. Tolledo worked as a Registered Nurse after her graduation and sailed through the course of it. Mel was awarded Certificate of Appreciation as a presenter in the First Nursing Clinical Case Presentation Competition in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where she gave more than 15 years of nursing service in the rich soils of Saudi Arabia. Mel has soared through clinical nursing expertise in Surgery, Respiratory Care Unit, Male Medical, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Dialysis Unit, Telemetry, and as Quality Assurance Dialysis RN.
Ms. Tolledo migrated to Chicago, IL, USA and pursued her nursing career in different fields like Private Duty, Operation Manager, Case Management (Home Health), and Surgery. Mel currently works as a staff RN at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Chicago, IL, where she was honored with the ultimate award in nursing, the nationally recognized “Daisy Award” for December 2011. She also owns her own Mother Care Group Home, LLC in Las Vegas, a Home Care agency, where it has been progressively maintained for several years now.
Ms. Melencia Tolledo shoulders interesting facets of life, which includes the love for fine dining, social gathering, travelling, bowling, ballroom and modern dancing as well as a disciplined gym enthusiast. Ms. Tolledo maintains her youthful look by staying away from stress, and living life beautifully and peacefully. Ms. Tolledo is fond of collecting little spoons for souvenirs and enjoys watching plays portrayed by the infamous Cirque Du Soliel. She literally has watched them all.
Ms. Tolledo has an eye for fashion. She has graced numerous high fashion shows in the Philippine community in Chicago, IL namely; Dan Gawat’s Fashion Event 2003, Victor Miller’s Fashion In Fashion 2011 and 2012, Yoly Tubalinal’s Fashion Event, crowned as Mrs. Catanduanes 2003-2005 and the most recent Chicago Philippine Lions’ Club 2014 as crowned Muse.
Ms. Melencia Tolledo’s favorite fashion designers are Ramon Lazaro and Lito Perez from Manila, Philippines. A true inborn fashionista, a true nurse by heart.
