Dr. Horvath has been the Senior Pastor of Calvary Lighthouse Church (www.calvarylighthouse.com) since 1987 and the founder of James Horvath Ministries ww.jameshorvathministries.org).
Calvary Lighthouse Church is a thriving ministry in the cornfields of Rochelle, IL a city of 10,000 people near Chicago, IL. Calvary is a “regional church” made up of people who come from 55 surrounding cites. Dr. Horvath has led the church through three building programs, and major land expansion purchases, the most recent being a 2.5 million dollar addition to an existing million dollar facility. There are over 75 different Adult, Youth & Children’s ministries and small groups that have been raised up by Dr. Horvath including the Great Miracles Bible Institute (in co-operation with Oral Roberts University).
JHM is the international extension of Dr. Horvath’s ministry with a major thrust in the nation of the Philippines. JHM has held Greater Miracle Crusades (averaging 5,000 – 10,0000 in attendance), Schools of Revival, Youth & Children’s Crusades in over 35 cities in 10 countries including The Philippines, New Zealand, Europe, Israel, Ghana, Togo, Cameron, Mexico, and in the U.S.
Dr. Horvath has an earned Doctorate of Ministry from Oral Roberts University and was apart of the Executive Fast Track program by the personal invitation of President Richard Roberts. He also has a Master’s of Divinity degree from ORU, a B.A. in Biblical Studies from Central Bible College, and a background in engineering in from Ohio State University prior to entering the ministry.
Dr. Horvath authored He’s Coming Soon (Charisma/ Creation House) and has finished two other books awaiting publication The Trinity: You Can Understand It!, Nations in the Balance (a commentary on the book & life of Daniel). He is currently working on a series of books entitled God’s End Time Plan of GLORY!
He has daily radio broadcast entitled The Light of His Word on 88.3 WFEN Rockford/Madison radio stations and is regularly the host of TBN’s Chicago Praise the Lord Show.

A CPRTV interview with Gary Edinger, author of “Will to Live: A Saga of Survival,”that came about after he lost his leg in a logging accident in 2007 in Wisconsin. “I was alone, it was well below zero & I was 18 miles from emergency services. Although my leg was completely sheared off below the knee & was bleeding heavily, I managed to crawl into my logging skidder and drive that out to my
pickup truck. My cell phone was in my lunch box, so as I was driving out of the woods, I dialed 911. I drove 5 miles to meet my rescuers, racing out to meet me before I bled to death. I wrote the book to show people that the reason I was able to survive that day was because of the way I was raised & the things that I had experienced in living life.”
