Born and raised in Tayabas, Quezon, Philippines, Reynaldo Pabellano earned his Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from San Juan De Dios in 1973, and has worked as a surgical nurse in one of the busiest hospitals in Manila, Philippines, the Philippine General Hospital. He migrated to the United States of America in 1975 and started nursing in Cardiac Cath, in Michigan. He graduated Master of Science in Health Care Administration in 1999 at the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois.
With his diligence, hardwork and love for nursing, his leadership has transcended above and beyond nursing difficulties and has made leaps from staff, to manager, to Nursing supervisor, and Director of Nursing in Cardiac Cath, Medical – Surgical, and Perioperative Service Departments like Recovery Room, Pre-Admission Services, Endo/GI, Out Patient and In Patient Holding Areas.
Currently the Manager of the above said clinical departments at Mt. Sinai Hospital, Pabellano holds true to his dedication in Nursing through his management skills of his unit, staff, patient satisfaction and customer service. He has reached out to different departments to collaborate with nursing patient flow and safety.
Leading his staff and unit in the correct direction, Pabellano appreciates genuine fluidity and coordination in his units, managing five units in the Perioperative Services of Mt. Sinai Hospital, namely, PATS, OPS, IPHR, ENDO, PACU, all the same time. His love for educational advancements have been pushed up through his unending viewing of foreign and local educational documentaries and movies. He is one Filipino American whose love for Filipino and American dishes like Adobo and Starbucks coffee is truly undeniable.
A one true trooper, Pabellano is always young at heart, always a good manager, and has a passion for biking, walking in the park, and camping. .
