Various Offerings of Activities in Exciting Month of May

By: Veronica Leighton

We are thrilled to present in this issue our editorial regarding this month’s celebration of Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, in an eye-opening article titled, “What and Who are we as Asians on AAPI Month Event?”.

The month is filled with so much activities and events that keep us rushing to be present in all, family-wise and community-wise for all kinds of reasons of activities. So many honors, accolades, and tributes addressed to many deserving and accomplished individuals, and we’re so proud (see Vibes page 5) plus religious festivities, such as the Santacruzan (see full page pictorial and Bata Korner).

From Mother’s Day to Nurses Week, there are dozens of activities, that we ought to be aware of, and here’s just a few: Cinco de Mayo, Older Americans Month, Mental Health Awareness, Speech & Hearing Awareness, Military Appreciation Month, International Workers Day, Fitness Day, World Laughter Day, and Memorial Day. We have a gamut of selection of events to go to.

On a personal note, here’s our birthday greetings to VT columnists Pastor Nancy Abiera “On A Bright Side” (see her little flyer message above) and Ryan Tejero (Club Presidents column). And to myself, on May 31st with a celebration to be held on June 2nd.

Please enjoy reading, as usual, your favorite and inspirational columnists’ articles in this exciting May 2024 issue. Have fun, wherever you’re going! Stay safe!

Happy birthday to VT columnist Ryan Tejero who celebrated his birthday on May 11th, Mother’s Day, and gave tribute to his beloved mother on this important day. Also shown in picture is his wife, Blen Ry.
