Stagen’s Martial Arts “Where Champions Are Made” Established Since 1993

Jojo Stagen was a little boy who is now living his dream of becoming a MARTIAL ARTS Champion, Master and a real life hero, serving and protecting his community by becoming a Chicago Police Officer. As a police officer, he is the founder of URBAN WARRIOR POLICE TACTICAL CONCEPTS.  True to his nature, he is a REAL FILIPINO, in Heart, Body and Soul.

Now a decorated Chicago police officer, he is a happy Family Man, married to Tina, and  father to three  beautiful daughters, Sariah, Arianna and Alessandra.

Jojo Stagen started training in Style KUNGKADO in 1984 with MASTER Bernardo Elorta, until his migration to the U.S. in 1986. He started TAEKWONDO in 1988 with Instructor Israel Collazo, under Grandmaster KOANG W. KIM. He won many local and Interstate Tournaments, Including undefeated State Champion.
In 1993, Stagen Martial Arts was established.  He also won a national bronze medal that year;   In 1994, he became National Champion, Best Fighter of the Year,  U.S. National Team Member

From 1994 through 1997, Stagen consistently won National Medals and participated in U.S. Team Trials 1997 . He fought in a Pay- Per-View event PRI TKD and became one of the first American professionals to fight as a PRO FIGHTER

In 1998, he became a Chicago Police Officer.
In 1999, he won an International Tournament held in Indiana, and defeated Puerto Rico and Mexico, U.S. Player and Argentina in the Finals, he became the International Taekwondo OPEN Champion.

In 1999-2000, he was invited through Wild Card to compete in U.S. Olympic Team Trials; in 2003 through  2005, he Won Regional Medals.

In 2009, he was appointed by GM Napoleon Nap Fernandez as International Director of YAW-YAN, THE Philippine Kickboxing System. In 2013, he was given the YAW-YAN TIGRELEON, which is the most popular YAW-YAN Group in the U.S.

HIghlights:  Producer of National, international Taekwon do Champions; Producer of multi -Title Holders in Kickboxing and MMA; Producer of a handful Legitimate black belt holder.

He is the recipient of Chicago Filipino Asian American Hall of Fame awardin Sports (Martial Arts) given by Via Times/CPRTV and Mayor Daley’s Outstanding Asian American in the field of sports.

In spite all these medals, awards and accolades, real-life hero Jojo Stagen is “still talking the talk and walking the walk,” he humbly proclaims.
