TAKE CHARGE CHICAGO

Dear Friend,

On Election Day alone, Take Charge Chicago volunteers collected thousands of signatures at more than 275 precincts.

With your help, we’re moving toward our goal of 100,000 signatures to put term limits on the Mayor and an elected Consumer Advocate on the March 20, 2018 ballot. We truly are changing history, one petition signature at a time!

Now we’re focused on getting signatures during the holiday season: at Thanksgiving dinners, Christmas parties, holiday gatherings, New Year’s celebrations, and any other events that bring people together with holiday cheer.

As you’re vIsiting with coworkers at the office party, sitting down with family around the dining room table, or celebrating the New Year, we need your help this holiday season. It’s important to use our success from Election Day to keep our momentum going into 2017.

The Take Charge Chicago petition will put term limits on the Mayor and create an elected Consumer Advocate. Chicago is the only city among the nation’s 10 largest cities without mayoral term limits. New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and Houston all have term limits on their mayor.

If you have any questions regarding the Take Charge Chicago petition, call (773) 999-2016 or email us at info@takechargechicago.org. Frequently asked questions, tips, and more can be found at our website: TakeChargeChicago.org.

Take Charge Chicago has been to neighborhoods across the city, and volunteers around Chicago are determined to make mayoral term limits and an elected Consumer Advocate a reality.
