This is a time of year to remember things that are important to us.
These are things I am thankful for this year: family, food, and shelter. The first thing I am thankful for is a nice home because it keeps me safe from tsunamis and hurricanes, and it keeps me warm and safe during fall and winter. If I did not have shelter then I would be really cold right now, begging for shelter on the streets. That is why I am thankful for shelter.
The next thing I am thankful for is food. I have at least enough food in my kitchen. I am thankful for food because it helps me have the energy to play sports with my friends. You need healthy food to survive. Without it, you will be sick and slow like a sick sloth, but you cannot eat too much because it is not healthy.
The last thing I am thankful for is my family. They love and care about me and I love and care about them too! They help me with my homework, and they make me feel happy. They make me feel comfortable. They treat me nice and kind and I want to thank them for that.
I am so lucky that I have shelter, food, and family
