Christmas is a time of love, joy, peace and many opportunities to give and receive. Unfortunately, many are experiencing the reverse: lust of material things, depression, worries/anxieties and stress.

Note that it was God who initiated this event of Jesus’ birth. It has nothing to do with Santa Claus. There was not even a Christmas tree when Jesus was born. Be not deceived by the worldly traditions that bring poverty. Be enlightened and receive the blessings of truth that leads to prosperity. God started this very special moment giving us His great love through Jesus for us to receive.

In John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but will have eternal life.”

I paraphrase this as “God, the Greatest Lover. . .the Greatest Giver. . . had Jesus, the Greatest Gift. . . and our Greatest Response is to believe. . . giving us the Greatest Life Eternal.”

The above brings us two gifts. The first being Jesus Himself (fully God) coming from heaven to earth as fully man in order for us to be saved and become children of God as well as heirs of the Kingdom of heaven. The second gift grants us the promise of eternal life bringing us from earth to heaven.

The question is. . . What is your response to God’s invitation? The choice is yours.
