Hilda Huszagh October 23, 2022

Former longtime Chicago resident and active community leader and currently Phoenix, Arizona resident Hilda Huszagh, passed away last October 23, 2022. Diagnosed with cancer mid-August, she had been undergoing treatment for a few months before her death. With additional complications, it became more than what her body could handle.

She passed peacefully and comfortably at home, with family by her side. There was so much outpouring of generosity and love from her family and friends and care from the medical team.

Her loving daughter, Tiffany, wrote, “Surrounded by so much love of her family and friends, mom’s last two months have been fi lled with more good days than not. We have so many fi nal memories with her that are full of happiness and sadness, laughter, smiles, and tears. Even in her fi nal months, mom was still bringing family and friends together, and with just her presence, she fi lled a room with joy. I am heartbroken to lose her, but I am also incredibly grateful for the gift of these last two months with her. For my entire life mom has been a source of strength in our f amily; a loving, kind and courageous woman, beautiful inside and out.
