BEREAVEMENT NOTICE : Dr. Thelma Reyes Rocha

As memorialized by her loving daughter, Olive Rocha Aliga, wife of Dr. Norman Aligan and resident of Wheaton, Illinois, for her 22nd death anniversary… “My Ma was also a Coloratura Soprano, a violinist, pianist, could play the guitar, ukulele, bandurria, banjo, accordion, harmonica, mandolin, an amazing multi-talented and multi-faceted woman, while I could only play the piano and organ. She had a doctorate in English, Sociology and Anthropology.

My Mama, who was Miss FEU during her youth, was very humble, compassionate, loved by many. She had a military burial, like her younger brother, Tito Lorie (Lorimer), who graduated with high honors from West Point. My Ma was a Veteran, too.

On Oct. 9 will be the 22nd death anniversary of my Mama, Dr. Thelma Reyes Rocha. She passed away at the age of 73, just two weeks short of her 74th birthday.She would have been 97 this Oct.23. Her photo here was taken a few months before God took her back to His Kingdom.”
