Ashley Simone Dizon, known as “Jassie” to family, born on March 6, 2004 the youngest child, only daughter to Melody and Dino Dizon. My child – for the past 18 years I have watched you grow up. From a little girl who loves to wear Mama’s heels, put on Mama’s make up, wear Mama’s pearls and carry Mama’s purse – all the sassy-ness that you are, I see, I already know that you will be following my footsteps. Your knack for jokes and sense of humor from your dad’s genes, your beautiful singing voice and your kind heart has brought us so much joy and happiness. My little Melody and at times my little Dino – you got the best of our qualities.

I pray that this year will be your year of breakthroughs – from discovering who you are, to cultivating different relationship goals, to knowing and achieving your career path. I hope you go on many adventures and discover the things that fires your soul and kindles y our heart – to spend your days surrounded with friends who will stay loyal and true – friends who will appreciate your being you as well as acknowledge the real good-natured you. You do you.

I pray that you always find courage to pursue your dreams, no matter how big and wildly crazy it may seem. Never doubt that all these blessings are from our Lord and are yours for the taking. In God’s will and perfect timing.

As you move away and as you keep growing, there’ll be times when we are not near you and when trials would bring you at the deep end, remember how many impossible doors He has opened for you and how He continues to move mountains and made dreams happen. Just believe and claim it in His name.

More importantly, I hope you spend your days aiming for the things that matter now, knowing the difference between what is and what was – always mindful and grateful of the blessings of today and the memories of the past. I pray that you celebrate your love for family and still continue to enjoy spending time with your folks.

When the day comes, when everything is at the right time, you will find the man of your dreams. Your father will be a hard one to follow. His world revolve around you. When you find the right person, let him love you, hold you, protect you, provide for you and lead you to our Lord. There’s beauty in true love, forever still exists and relationships do last.

Lastly, I pray that your feet will always find its way back home – no matter the circumstances. There is nothing that you will ever do that will make us love you less. I heard once “if all little girls were to line up and God gave me a chance to choose, I would choose you over and over again. I will. Keep the faith and grow your relationship with the Lord. We can never outdo His goodness to us. His love can never be outdone.

My child – you are one of God’s precious gift to me. I cherish you and I treasure you. Happy 18th bday and congratulations to your graduation.
