PH Consul General Joins the 6th Piyesta Pinoy at the Bolingbrook

Chicago 13 June 2019 – Consul General Gina A. Jamoralin graced the 6th Piyesta Pinoy held at the Bolingbrook Performing Arts Center, 375 W. Briarcliff Rd. Bolingbrook, Illinois on Saturday, 08 June 2019.

The Consul General delivered an inspirational message encouraging the Filipino-American youth to join the upcoming Youth Leaders in Diaspora (YouLeaD) Immersion Program II, a joint project with the Commission on Filipinos Overseas that helps young Fil-American leaders discover their roots and embrace their heritage as part of their unique identity.

The undersigned also announce the incoming consular outreach of the Philippine Consulate to the different state in the Midwest, The undersigned also extend her appreciation and thanks to the Philippine American Cultural Foundation (PACF) for the indefatigable efforts in promoting the beauty and greatness of everything that makes us proud to be Filipinoour music, dances food, crafts and so much more.

The highlight of the event was the Parade within the in the vicinity led by Consul General Gina A. Jamoralin and Bolingbrook Mayor, Hon. Roger Claar. Mayor Claar gave an inspirational message commending the Filipino-American community in keeping the Filipino traditions still alive. The celebration ends with the Sarsuela and Miss World 2013 Megan Young appearance and production number. END
