Thank You To My Real Estate Clients Forever

Imoved to Illinois back when Kristoffer was barely three months old. We had just purchased a home in Pasadena, a small 1200-square-foot 2-bedroom, 1-bath ranch with a killer view on the hills overlooking the city. This was our first home, but only for exactly six months. We closed on the California house in March of 1986, Kristoffer was born on April 18, 1986, and by August 30th, we had moved and closed on our new home in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, an upgraded, brand new, modern 2400-square-foot, 4-bedroom, 2.1-bath 2-story home that looked like something out of Disneyland’s fabled Main Street. My husband Wolfgang was transferred for work and could not refuse the big promotion to Executive Chef of the flagship hotel Hyatt Regency O’Hare.

The thing that motivated me to become a real estate agent that time was the way I was disappointed in our broker. She picked us up from the hotel in Rosemont, drove us to look at six homes, and was prodding us to make an offer even when we were not happy with her selections. Needless to say, we went out the next day, went into a builder’s open house and signed up to build a new home. Boy, did I get a nasty, huffy, angry phone call from her! That’s when I knew I could do better than THAT woman. And so after we got settled in, I enrolled in a real estate class, passed my state exam, got licensed in 1988, and the rest, as they say, is history.

It was that feeling of pride in our homeownership, and the unfortunate experience that I had with an unhelpful agent that started me on this career when I feel to this day, that the best reward is the satisfaction that I get after the buyers close on their first home, or the sellers that have moved up to a bigger nest, or the investors that made their profit with my help, knowing that I was part of that process.

Please enjoy the continuation of the gallery of homes that I have sold and closed with some of my happy clients that have al so become family. CONGRATULATIONS!
