The Greatest Father

Happy Father’s Day to all! Yes, we are halfway through 2021 in June as we honor all the fathers.

Sadly, my father died when I was 21. I still miss him even after many decades feeling like it was yesterday. Thank God, my loss turned to gain for my Heavenly Father God who adopted/nurtured/ cared/protected/provided everything I needed/wanted. Truthfully, God over-compensated all the deficits I had. He did even greater/perfect ways and never abandoned me as He is always with me. And for all these and more, I praise my Heavenly Father opening His arms so wide fulfilling His promises loving me deeply and unconditionally. Happy Father’s Day! both to my Heavenly Father God and my “Tatay David” in heaven.

My Tatay David was a good father. He was my hero, encourager, cheerleader, mentor, counselor/advisor, faithful, a man of integrity, honor, respect and known with high regard in our family and community. He was a man of resilience, resourceful, witty, funny yet serious, happy, peace lover and kind. He was great in conflict resolution creating bridges making enemies become friends. He can easily calm a fuzzy baby in his arms within 5 minutes and turn a rebellious teenager to a responsible adult. He was a music lover and a guru in ballroom dancing. I adored my father that I became his female version. I honor him and grateful for the influence he had in me. I treasured these in my heart. . . all the memories and influences he made and for who I am now.

Unfortunately, you may or may not have all good experiences with your father. Worst, others have the opposite: like absentee, passive, disciplinarian, mean or even abusive father. Let me encourage you and allow our Heavenly Father God to shower you with His unconditional love as His adopted child. God can turn your rejection to election; brokenness to breakthrough; curses to blessings; weakness to strength; and sickness to wellness. Furthermore, He can transform anyone from pitiful to powerful; poverty to prosperity; sadness to joyful; ashes to beauty, etc. These are awesome as we receive His Son Jesus, as our Savior and Lord.

Through Jesus, we can be God’s children having the GREATEST FATHER with inherited blessings of His characters/attributes:

G Great/Generous God
R Rapha, The God Who Heals
E Elohim, The Living God
A Abbah, The Amazing Father
T Trustworthy/True
E El Shaddai, Lord God Almighty
S Sabbath, Host of Heaven Armies
T Tower So Strong Protecting Us

F Faithful Father God
A Adonai, My Lord
T Tender/Compassionate
H Honorable/Holy
E Elyon, God Most High
R Refuge/Restorer

L Loving
O Omnipotent
R Revered
D Dependable

G Good
O Omnipresent
D Divine Power

Just imagine the life changes when some or all of the above attributes/characters of God are imparted/activated as spiritual generational blessings in our DNA. My suggestion is to pray the following from your heart:

“Heavenly Father, I thank You for sending Jesus to connect us back to You as my Heavenly Father. Jesus, I thank You for the gift of forgiveness as You paid our redemption through Your sacrificial death for me and for all humanity. Holy Spirit, I thank You for Your work of transformation. Take me, mold me, use me and fill me with your gifts, fruits/holiness/ power. Make me more like Jesus. In His name, I pray. Amen.

“To have God our Father is the greatest, highest, richest and most life transforming decision you can ever make in life.”

Always choose ”On A Bright Side” moving further and farther “On A Brightest Side”. I love you readers with the love of the Lord yet the Lord loves you the most. You are deeply loved, greatly blessed and highly anointed, Smile and be a blessing!
