Hotel Baker’s 90th Anniversay and Tribute to Col Edward Baker, founder and original owner

Current Hotel Baker’s Filipino owners Rowena and Joe Salas, staged a perfectly planned event for the celebration of the Hotel Baker’s 90th anniversary and a tribute to the original owner, Colonel Edward Baker in a Derby themed affair attended by about 400 guests last June 2, 2018. Exquisite decor, delectable food with a dessert bar, including an unbelievable fireworks show just over the river were things that one had to experience to believe it.

Attendees were treated to a special musical performance by ABC’s most recent season American Idol contestant Trevor Holmes, in addition to The Champagne Kings, the Tom Linsk Band and pianist Johnny Burnett. Derby-inspired culinary creations from the culinary team, led by Executive Chef Kieth Willis was beyond impressive and was truly magnificent. A mini popup museum featuring both Hotel Baker and Colonel Baker history and memorabilia rounded out the evening. A memorable time was had by all.
