Asian American Celebrity Manager & Powerhouse Launches Valuable Tool for Actors

Renowned Hollywood business manager Chi Muoi Lo has created a way for the thousands of aspiring actors to learn the behindthe- scenes business side of acting. Mastering the Business of Acting (now available to purchase here) was an authentic idea that Chi had to offer an invaluable experience centered around his teachings and guidance. Chi has over 30 years of experience as an actor, director, writer, and producer along with 19 years as a major talent manager in Hollywood.

He has seen how young actors have been exploited in the entertainment industry and should not have to overpay to get the information and knowledge they need for success. What sets Mastering the Business of Acting apart from other “similar” products is that while the class primarily focuses on those trying to break into the business, it also includes information necessary for the working actors and rising stars.

In a series of 7 episodes, each episode will focuses on a specific subject lasting from an hour and 30 min to 2 hours (total of 12 hours), starting at $199. Mastering the Business of Acting will include interviews with top agent Todd Eisner (A3 Agency, APA, Innovative), casting director John Frank Levey (ER, Shameless, West Wing), episodic director Nancy Hower (Teachers, Quick Draw) and award-winning actress Karen Malina White (Proud Family: Louder and Prouder, Mom, Malcolm and Eddie, Shameless, Lean on Me). Also included are real audition examples from stars and working actors showing you what happens in producer sessions and studio/network testing.

Chi covers a variety of topics ranging from how to break into the business to knowing how to maintain a successful acting career, including the art and business of auditioning, the constantly changing business of acting, and the new technological advancements that now all actors are expected to be experienced in.

Chi is the founder of the acting group entitled Actor’s Consortium where he served as Artistic Director from July of 2002 to May of 2005. Chi is the owner of the production company, Black Hawk Entertainment and the CEO of the talent management company Allen Edelman Management. Chi Muoi Lo’s debut film Catfish In Black Bean Sauce was met with great success and made Variety’s “Top 50 of 2001 Winner At The Box Office.” Chi’s other film appearances include Indecent Proposal, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, China Cry, Vietnam War Story: The Last Days, “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” “Smallville,” “Malcolm in the Middle,” “Law & Order” and many more.
