One of the most active FilAm organizations in the suburbs of Chicagoland is the Filipino American Association of South DuPage (FAASD). It is composed of FilAm residents in the cities of Hinsdale, Oakbrook, Burr Ridge, Willowbrook, Downers Grove, Westmont, Woodridge, Naperville, Darien, Lisle, and Clarendon Hills.

On October 23, 2021, FAASD inducted its new set of officers to serve the organization for 2021 to 2023 at the William Tell Banquets Holiday Inn. This event also highlighted the presentation and coronation of the FAASD muses composed of: Isabella Rae Monsalud, Mia Alaina Maglaya and Ava Marie Maglaya.

Recently inducted as new officers of FAASD were as follows: President – Joy Ranchero; 1st Vice President – Jane Quiaoit Miran; 2nd Vice President – Alex M. Simbol; Secretary – Evelyn Francia; Corresponding Secretary – Leah Gina Padolina; Treasurer – Rachel Deato Arquines; Asst. Treasurer- Malu Viloria; Auditor- Rina Pedrola; Press Relation Officers – Aurelia Pendon, Naty Lamba; Business Manager – Pricilla Monsalud; Sergeants at Arms – Rene Balcita, Gerardo Arquines. The new set of were also inducted as the new set of Directors: Burr Ridge – Eddie and Amy Paredes; Darien North – Jun and Charrie Sanchez; Darien South – Alfredo and Ana Deato; Downers Grove North – Nestor and Auring Galimba; Downers Grove South – Jun and Mode Uy; Naperville – Roger and Elizabeth Gaden; Oakbrook – Joseph and Gloria Palisoc; Willowbrook – Lina Ramos and Vigilio Arellano, and Woodridge – Philip and Mon Buenafe.

The new leadership under Joy Ranchero will continue to foster friendship, camaraderie, and civic-mindedness among Filipino American families through support, education, scholarship, charity, and community service. It will also foster shared governance of the Core Leadership members, officers, and Board of Directors of each town/community. And lastly, FAASD will partner with other like-minded organizations, in achieving our community goals.
