DETOX FEAR “DON’T Quit” . . .“BE QuiEt”

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy— think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.” Philippians 4:6-9

Sometime back, I posted on Facebook the following: “Don’t Quit” . . .Just BE “QuiEt”. My definition of QUIET is as follows:

Q. Quicken your spirit.

U. Unite with God’s Spirit.

I. Initiate a conversation with HIM.

E. Engage and listen on what He says.

T. Trust Him completely.

The Bible teaches us to “Be still and know that He is God. . .; With God, all things are possible. . .”

I agree and therefore we need to let God be God… I am not God and you are not God either.

Furthermore, I believe this “QuiEt” exercise is more effective than going to a therapy. It’s free and no need to call for an appointment. It is unlimited DIY (Do It Yourself) with God anytime, anywhere, anything, for anyone and everyone.

Earlier in my life, I had a tendency to quit when things get tough related to my vocation, project, relationships etc. I guess we all resort to quit as the easiest route to take as humans. However, it makes the situation worse or worst. We need to know the why’s to quit. Most often than not, the root is fear. When we F.E.A.R. (Forget Everything And Run) we find more problems than solutions. Most often, when I am on this fear mode, consciously or subconsciously, I could not stop talking endlessly remunerating in my head all sorts of reasons and excuses to justify my action. This is very exhausting and stressful. Then I quit again. At other times, I would grab the “phone” and vent out to my friends. They eventually got tired of me and quit listening.

Please note that we can be paralyzed with FEAR (Forget Everything And Run). by yourself. I encourage you to give your FEAR to GOD and exchange it with His FAITH. You FEAR is then transformed to (Face Everything And Rise). He gives you the GRACE (God Running Alongside Caring Excessively) for and with us to win even the impossible. The only fear we need is the “Fear of the Lord which is the beginning of wisdom.”

Eventually, I learned to stop this crazy cycle. I found to be “QuiEt” and ‘Observe” myself and the situations without judging rather than being “Absorbed” by it. Thus, I fi nd serenity and I could see/hear God clearly. I also discovered that I can choose to access God’s “Throne” when I submit to the Holy Spirit. He can use my response even in the midst of fear to produce His fruits of love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, gentleness, faithfulness and self control. In addition, He provides His gifts of wisdom knowledge and discernment.

Did you know that when we reach the end of ourselves in fear, we can step in to FAITH (Facing Actively In Trusting Him). Some people may call it WEIRD but I call it WIRED.

When we choose to react with our human nature (what we think, feel and desire) we end up miserable.

However, when we respond with our spiritual nature pleasing God (what He thinks, feels and desires) we receive miracles.

What about you?

What situation or situations are you in right now that pushes you to give up and quit? Is it about issues in your job? Finances? Relationships? Health? Etc.

I suggest you follow the above simple yet practical 5 “QuiEt” steps and be blessed. In summary:

1. Don’t Quit; Be QuiEt.

2. Don’t get absorbed by the issues in life, but observe without judging.

3. Don’t just go to the phone but go and access God’s Throne

4. Surrender your fear to God and He will give you the power to Face Everything And Rise even beyond your imaginations.

Remember the saying: “Quitters don’t win. Winners don’t Quit” I say whiners do quit And they lose. Lol!

Sing: Thy Will Be Done by Hillary Scott.

Pray: Lord, forgive me for giving up and thinking of quitting. Forgive me for fearing people, things and circumstances rather than having the fear of God in total reverence. Remove unhealthy and ungodly thoughts in my mind that sabotage me in moving forward in faith in You and with You. Help me to be quiet and be still in your presence. Teach me to be sensitive in Your prompting and leading so I can obey you willfully. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Exercise: Write down all your fears in one column. After listing them all down, write down things on the right side of the things you can trade. For example: Fear of Lack, Faith in Abundance, etc. After exchanging the things on the left with the right, tear it down and trash it. This exercise is your gesture of destroying and cancelling all fear you are experiencing and replacing them with truth of God’s blessings.

Always choose “On A Bright Side”. I love you readers with the love of the Lord yet the Lord loves you the most. Smile and be a blessing.
