JDC Rainbow Foundation celebrates its 4th Anniversary!

JDC FOUNDATION MISSION: To help communities in the Philippines improve the lives of the people — with focus on direct assistance to the children; the disabled; the less-fortuante; and to help provide better facilities.

August 11, 2017, marks the 4th Anniversary of the JDC Rainbow Foundation, founded by Jane Motong Cannon, and well-supported by her husband, David Cannon. Jane’s friendly relationship among her peers involved in charitable organizations, paid off as shown by the hard work and cooperation her GDC offi cers and paying members have shown. The successful and FUN-tastic fundraiser last month, was a manifestation of the cooperative spirit of “the JDC Family”.

Donation Recipients: Jane reported that GDC’s donation and respective recipients during the last four years are as follows: Children’s Joy Foundation; GMA Kapuso Foundation; Gawad Kalinga – USA; World Vision; Gota de Leche; Reception and Study Center for Children; Operation Smile; Feed My Starving Children; and Saint Timothy’s Lutheran Church in Skokie, Illinois. And a few others not mentioned here.

An excerpt from the Message of Philippine Consul General Generoso D.G. Calonge, says: “The laudable dedication you have shown to such end is very much welcome — as we seek to build stronger partnerships with the Filipino American Community associations for the continued development of our country.”

To the GDC Foundation Family, Congratulations! Keep the Cooperative and Friendly spirit high among you. Keep touching lives especially among the less fortunate back home in our beloved Philippines. (esn)
