THEN: Lourdes Mon was 8 years old attending the high school graduation of her half-sister, who is her namesake. Their dad named both of them Lourdes after his patron saint, Our Lady of Lourdes.

Dely Villalon

THEN: an active community leader of Chicago’s Fil-Am community, Dely Villalon, when she ran for the presidency of the Filipino American Council of Chicago (FACC) in 1982.

THEN: Wedding in 1966 with the late Dr. Jojo Villalon.

NOW: when she was crowned the first Mrs. Chicago of the Philippine Independence Week Committee (PIW) in 2003.
