This month officially welcomes the season of fall. Many of us are probably putting our pools away, packing up our grills, and putting away our patio furniture. This is the time to set up our fire pits for bonfires and the time to invite friends and family to enjoy the season’s chilly nights. I love Fall, and I can’t wait to see the beautiful landscape of fall colors everywhere. I am sure most families are excited about putting their festive Fall decorations around and outside of their homes. It seems like every month, there is at least one holiday. For this month, we are celebrating the economic and social contributions of workers over the years. I am sure everyone will appreciate the day off to celebrate with friends and family. Moreover, as students we find ourselves transitioning from the freedom and fun of the summer to getting back into the groove of school. My first week of school has been exciting. I can’t wait to complete this Fall Semester and graduate from college. School has been a great life journey so far. It’s one more semester close to graduating! I can especially relate to t his as I will be graduating this December 2022. Let us hear from our four fea tured college students!

Audrey Esquivel says, “As an Asian American college student, I would like to first, make my parents proud. I want to attain m y master’s degree and later study to become a Certified Nurse Anesthetist. As well as being in school, I want to make sure my studies are prioritized and I learn to love what I do over time and make sure I help and build relationships with patients and become an empathetic figure to many people.

Rachel Cormier says, “I want to be an Author and complete my major in English and journalism. I feel my passion in writing is going to be what I work on in whatever field I end up in life. But, I feel strongly that I’m going to be a YA Fiction Author eventually and write books about my experiences and the friends I’ve met.”

Marco Alegre says, “As part of the Asian American college student community, my goal is to successfully finish and accomplish nursing school. After graduating, my purpose is to provide high quality care towards my future clients and patients in the healthcare profession.”

Daniel Fernandez says, “As a Filipino American college student, I am driven to do well academically, improve my leadership skills, and earn my degree in Law Enforcement. After graduation, I aim to serve and protect my community as a police officer. I am striving to be as successful as I can be so that I can provide my family the freedom and lifestyle they deserve.”
