Adelina Tabaque Garcia Aug. 28, 1938 – Sept. 4, 2024

Adelina Tabaque Garcia, of Northbrook, passed away surrounded by her loving family on September 4, 2024. She was the beloved wife for 52 years of Fidel Garcia; loving mother of Michelle (Frank) Dodds; cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Ligaya Cruz, Benjamin Tabaque, Lydia Torres, Lolita Pineda, Remegio Tabaque, and Florida Dy.

A registered surgical nurse for the majority of her career at Highland Park Hospital, Adelina was known for her compassionate care and unwavering commitment to her patients. Her expertise and kindness made a lasting impact on those she served. Beyond her professional achievements, Adelina was cherished for her role as a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, and aunt. She found great joy in entertaining family and friends during the holidays, creating memorable gatherings filled with laughter, love, and delicious food. Her home was a place of comfort and celebration, and her festive spirit will be deeply missed.

Visitation was held September 10, 2024 at N.H. Scott & Hanekamp Funeral Home, Glenview. Visitation held on September St. Norbert & Our Lady of the Brook Parish, Northbrook. Interment Sacred Heart Cemetery, Northbrook.
