AZA Essentials Benefit Concert

I want to introduce you to a good friend and a leader, Albert Azarias. He is a U.S. Army Captain, Engineer Officer, accountant, and small business owner. He is also the Chairman and Founder of AZA Essentials, a nonprofit dedicated to serving those in need throughout Chicagoland. Through his military service, business experience, and nonprofit leadership, Albert is committed to creating lasting, meaningful impact by helping individuals and communities reach their full potential.
AZA Essentials is one of Illinois’ fastest-growing nonprofits, with more than 500 volunteers contributing over 4,000 volunteer hours this year. The organization focuses on two underserved communities: students living in poverty and people experiencing homelessness, including veterans, throughout Chicagoland. Each year, AZA Essentials leads six major initiatives, including its annual Benefit Concert, with 100% of net proceeds supporting its mission. By providing essential resources – from school supplies that help students succeed in the classroom to cold-weather gear and hygiene items that help individuals survive and regain stability, AZA Essentials works to ensure that every person has the foundation needed to thrive.

Cybersecurity expert warns of growing phishing threats this summer

Party invitations have become the latest weapons in cybercriminals’ arsenals. A wave of fake invitations mimicking trusted platforms like Evite, Paperless Post, and Punchbowl is flooding inboxes, tricking recipients into handing over passwords and personal information.
According to the Federal Trade Commission, these phishing scams have surged during the summer party season, with scammers creating fake invitation emails that appear to come from friends or colleagues.
“These scams are particularly insidious because they weaponize social relationships and the excitement of being invited to an event,” says Tomas Sinicki, managing director at Coveron. “Unlike generic phishing attempts, fake party invitations come from what appears to be a trusted contact, making victims far more likely to click without hesitation.”
Such fraudulent emails tend to mirror legitimate invitation platforms’ branding and formatting. Recipients who click to view event details are prompted to enter their email username and password, or share a special code sent to their phone. Once scammers obtain these credentials, they can hijack email accounts and spread the scam to the victim’s entire contact list. They can also attempt to break into other online accounts, such as bank accounts.
One of the main dangers of such scams lies in how victims can become unwitting accomplices. Once an email account is compromised, the scammer can send convincing invitations to the victim’s entire network, using established relationships to lend credibility to the next wave of attacks.
