Dear Veronica, Providing people information in the form of news is a noble calling, and I am pleased to congratulate you on this 45th anniversary of your publication Via Times Newsmagazine, which has answered that calling.
The information that the word generates daily, even hourly, easily overwhelms our ability to absorb it. For that, we need publications like yours that sift through mountains of events and paint intelligent word pictures of our community, our state, our country, and the world.
Few know how difficult it can be to put printed words on a page–story selection and presentation must be joined sensitively–but you have done it with effort and commitment that make your work noble, and I honor your effort.
You improve our word, and I wish you and your readers all the best on this special anniversary,

Thank You From CPRTV News Anchor’s Mom
Brigitte Carino-Cueter was graduating in HS when we discussed with Mr. Joe Mauricio and Ms. Veronica Leighton about her doing the news of our Filipino Chicago channel on TV called CPRTV (Chicago Philippine Reports TV) which has been broadcasting for almost 50 years already. Finally, months after graduating in HS and after a series of interviews with Madam Veronica Leighton, she started the news and until now she has been doing it and enjoying it. God bless the creators of this show on Sundays, 3 to 4PM, for almost 50 years already. So happy to have something to share to others…. the joy of sharing our talents in so many many ways is awesome. We must volunteer our knowledge to a good cause. It will be a beautiful happy life if we do so. We rejoice for other’s growth and we thank God every moment.
