Hawaiian Memories of Jerry and Janet’s Anniversary

By: Maria Girlie Pascual

Lovely couple Janet and Jerry Masangcay hosted a Hawaiian-themed luau with a pig roast and a fire dancer in the beautiful garden of their newly- bought and remodeled home in the heart of Arlington Heights, IL. The stunning garden was transformed into a tropical paradise with fresh blooms, a Tiki hut for libation and a food galore buffet worthy of a proper feast, a full “lechon” at the center of it all. We had a smashing great time, especially with songs by Jerry, and entertainment by the best hostess, Janet.
Meeting up with great friends like Don and Flor Kramer, Veronica, our publisher, Dan Gawat, Elbert and Elizabeth Regacho, and Salvy Marino, is always part of my busy schedule because I need this time to be myself, with people I adore and look up to, where I can just relax and enjoy the season. This also applies to my other batch of friends, the “J&J” posse which was started by Janet and Jerry when they invited all of us to be part of their wedding entourage a few years ago.
It was great spending time with celebrants Janet & Jerry Masangcay, Mike and Laura De Loyola, Carol Tossi, and Xenon, Alex Tabang, singer Olive Tigresse & hubby Bodjie, and cute couple May May and Chris.
