For more than 26 years, Roberto “Robert” Chavez has quietly and faithfully dedicated himself to serving the Philippine Independence Week Committee (PIWC). He has never sought the spotlight. He has never measured success by titles or recognition. Instead, he has measured it by the lives he has touched, the relationships he has built, and the community he has helped strengthen.
Robert is not running for Overall Chairman because he wants a title. He is running because he understands what that title truly means—responsibility, accountability, and service.

As a former President of the Lions Club, Robert demonstrated that true leadership is measured not by personal recognition but by developing future leaders, strengthening organizations, and inspiring others to continue serving long after one’s own term has ended.
His integrity has earned him the confidence of respected professionals, business owners, and community leaders throughout Chicagoland. Their support is not built on promises or popularity—it is built on years of witnessing his honesty, consistency, compassion, and unwavering commitment to service.
Robert’s journey as an immigrant is also a testament to perseverance, resilience, and hope. Through hard work and determination, he has overcome challenges while remaining grounded in humility. As Overall Chairman, Robert envisions a PIWC that is more united, more transparent, more inclusive, and more accessible to every Filipino family in the Chicagoland area. He hopes to strengthen programs that support Filipino seniors, celebrate our rich cultural heritage, and create meaningful opportunities for professionals, youth, businesses, volunteers, and community organizations to work together for a common purpose.
