Dely Villalon, B.S.N.; R.N Legacies of the 59th President and 4-Times President of PMAC Auxiliary

Dely Villalon’s leadership in the Auxiliary of Philippine Medical Association of Chicago (PMAC) left a bounty of legacies. She has made lasting contributions and positive impacts to many people, including the members of the organization and the many community members PMAC Auxiliary had served both here in Chicago and back home in the Philippines. Her inspiring leadership had established stronger relationships that brought about cooperation, camaraderie, and friendship throughout the four terms of her becoming the President of PMAC Auxiliary.
Dely said, “Working alongside such dedicated, compassionate, and inspiring officers and members in service to others has been an energizing and deeply rewarding experience. I will always cherish the privilege of serving the Auxiliary, PMAC, and the Medical Foundation. Having had the honor of serving as Auxiliary President four times is a blessing for which I will always be grateful.”
Looking back, Dely recalls all of her memorable accomplishments.
She can think of the overwhelming support she received from her board members and even close circle of friends, and to this, she says, “To my fellow officers and members, thank you for making our 2025–2026 term such a productive and meaningful journey. Together, we sponsored a Thanksgiving celebration
for our seniors, participated in community health screenings and health forums, supported the Medical Mission, and successfully conducted two fundraising events, enabling my 2025-26 team to endorse the APMAC treasury with more funds than when we started a year ago.”
Dely’s last and recent fundraiser with Auxiliary PMAC was very meaningful, as she led in honoring the group’s past presidents, recognized our current officers, and paid tribute to the leaders of their successful medical mission teams in the Philippines.
In October 2025, both PMAC and the PMAC Auxiliary received the Plaque of Recognition for Community Service from the Pilipino American Cultural Foundation
in Chicago. This award honored and gave recognition to the dedication, compassion, and teamwork of all the Auxiliary PMAC.
In her message, she said, “To our PMAC family, I hope our Auxiliary has provided the support and partnership you have needed. I am confident that PMAC’s major programs—our Medical Missions and Continuing Medical Education—will continue to flourish under the unwavering commitment and dedicated leadership of its officers and members. To the PMAC & Auxiliary Medical Foundation, thank you for your continued support and generosity.
May you continue to grow in strength and resources so that you can further support the meaningful projects and mission of PMAC and the Auxiliary.”
Dely’s legacies in the PMAC Auxiliary will forever leave a beautiful landmark in the history of the organization. To the new leadership of Dr. Rose Climaco-Gadrinab and the new officers, she says, “I am happy to pass a strong united and thriving team, to your leadership. I wish you every success as you lead our Auxiliary to even greater heights. May your leadership strengthen our organization, inspire greater member participation, and continue our tradition of service to the community.”
