Celebrating a Milestone: Second Lieutenant Mi-ae Hope Clemente Nkulu Graduates from West Point.

It is with immense pride and joy that we celebrate the remarkable achievement of Mi-ae Hope Clemente Nkulu, who graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point on May 23, 2026.

After 47 months of a grueling schedule encompassing rigorous academics, intense physical training, and demanding leadership roles, Mi-ae successfully earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Physics. She stands among the 998 Cadets who crossed the graduation stage out of the 1,209 who began this challenging journey.

A Legacy of Dedication and Leadership

Throughout her tenure as a Cadet, Mi-ae distinguished herself through her tenacity and commitment to excellence:

• Athletic and Physical Milestones: She successfully completed three Norwegian Marches and earned her Air Assault qualification.

• Team Contribution: She served as a dedicated Football Manager for the Army Black Knights starting in her Yuk (sophomore) year.

• Leadership Excellence: During her Firstie (senior) year, she took on the significant responsibility of overseeing the Physical Fitness Test for her entire Regiment. Making History

Mi-ae holds the distinction of being the first female of Filipina-Congolese American descent to graduate from the United States Military Academy. This historic achievement serves as an inspiration to her family, her community, and future generations of leaders. Looking Ahead

Mi-ae is now commissioned as a Second Lieutenant (2Lt) in the United States Army. She will continue her service as she branches into Aviation, with her upcoming training to take place at Fort Rucker, Alabama.

Her entire family and circle of friends are filled with profound pride and happiness for her extraordinary accomplishments. We congratulate her on this monumental milestone and wish her nothing but the very best as she embarks on this exciting new chapter of her military career.
