Chicago Community Meet-and-Greet at Pacquiao’s 2nd Chicago Visit

Pacquiao’s first visit in Chicago was prior to his fight with David Diaz in Mandalay Bay, LV, where he defeated Díaz by a ninth-round technical knockout on June 28, 2008. This time, he was back to Chicago with some members of his family to oversee the college enrollment of daughter Queenie at Loyola University Chicago.
The Philippine Consulate General in Chicago represented by Consul Melvin Almonguera and Consul Ella Karina Mitra, joined members of the Filipino community at a very exciting welcome hosted by Chicken Ati-Atihan in Niles, Illinois, on August 15, 2026 honoring the beloved Champ and former Philippine Senator.
The brief Chicago visit gave many members of the community the opportunity to meet the boxing legend and pose for photo opportunities and autograph signing with him in an orderly fashion.
Proud to share that VT/CPRTV had the privilege to interview the Champ on his first Chicago visit, and an opportunity for a polite and cordial re-meet on his second Chicago visit.
