* VIA TIMES’ READERS interesting responses to this question: what is your opinion about Joe Biden’s reign as President of the Great USA — IF President Trump’s lawsuit against the fraudulent handling of the ballots this past presidential election will be nullified?

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP’s reported “support to the $900 billion stimulus package” touches the hearts of the 18 million plus people who lost their jobs due to Covid-19. Businesses which are badly hit are restaurants, bars, travel and airlines. Retails businesses are identified as badly affected as shown by several padlocked establishments we see in so many locations in several neighborhoods. Although the news media says that about 40 states will be reopening soon, the business guru predicted that recovery would not come sooner in the next several months or even years. Indeed, this is heartbreaking, particularly to working young families with small children. This is the time when politicians must stop bickering to accomplish something for the People who gave them the Power. Moreso, this is the Time for us to pray harder and have more Faith to Someone Up There.

To “test” the faith and trust of some of our fellow Filipino American compatriots, I sent to about 10 of them this question: WHAT is YOUR VISION about AMERICA’s future under President-Elect Joe Biden, IF President Trump would eventually “drop” his fight for his RE-election “VICTORY”? Surprise, Surprise! Only THREE LADIES and one gentleman responded. None from other Ladies and Gents “community leaders?”. Oh, well…here we go…

“My vision about America’s future under President-Elect Joe Biden can be summed up in my ideal attributes of leadership making up the word CRASH — which stands for Civility, Respect, Accountability, Science and Honesty. I have this gut feeling that the next four years under the Biden-Harris administration spells out DISASTER. The Democrat’s Agenda will be in Play-Big Government: HIGH TAXES/DEFUNDING of THE POLICE/GIVING AMNESTY TO ILLEGAL ALIENS/OPEN BORDERS/ CRIME WILL ESCALATE IN BIG CITIES/SANCTUARY CITIES WILL BE FUNDED and STOCK MARKET WILL CRASH. (I hope not.)

I have lived in this wonderful country called AMERICA for over fifty years. I had looked to America as that beautiful beacon on the hill, the living and vibrant land of democracy. Over the years, I had voted for Republican and Democratic presidential candidates, analyzing which of their administrations could or would deliver my ideal attributes of CRASH. As expected, none of those administrations delivered perfectly. Yes, no administration is perfect. Some came close, others not too close, others are simply too far away. So, my vision, my hope and my prayers are that under President Joe Biden, America would show the world what a true democracy is – Civil, Respectful, Accountable, Science-based and Honest. Indeed, CRASH is our vision and our hope! God bless America. God bless Biden’s administration in the next four years and beyond. Have A Blessed Christmas Everyone!!!”

He never gives up. Personally, I like the President as one Independent Person who runs his business as a BUSINESS, with no hanky-panky, so to speak.”

MET CASTELO, Community Leader and past president of community organizations: “What I can say is — there was something fishy about the ‘election’ of Joe Biden as President of the United States as shown by the number of people who attended his campaign rallies. President Trump always had thousands while Biden had a handful, a dozen or so. I strongly believe that this past Election was rigged. We voted, but we lost. Oh, one more thing, when my wife, Mary Ann voted, the machine showed Biden’s square with a check mark already, so she had it erased and marked Trump’s square on the ballot. For the next four years, I am afraid there might be a recession. We must be prepared. Thank you, Elsie, for asking my opinion.”

Surely, everyone, especially the FILIPINOS and Filipino Americans have heard about the devastation of the BIKOL REGION in the PHILIPPINES, lately, which left thousands of people, HUNGRY with NO FOOD/NO WATER / HOMELESS because their houses were all flattened to the ground/ SICK and “FROZEN” in the TROPICAL COLD caused by Typhoon Ulysses.
