Robert A. Mittenthal March 5, 1940 – January 18, 2019

Robert A. Mittenthal, longtime resident of Chicago, passed away on January 18, 2019. He was 78. Beloved husband of Rosemary, nee Romero. Loving father of Grace (Derek Evitt) Mittenthal, Gemini (Peter Strandquist) Mittenthal and Robert H. (Francine) Mittenthal. Loving “Lolo” of Lilliana, Alexa, and Gabriella Mittenthal and Pierson Strandquist. Beloved son-inlaw of Socorro Obaob. A friend, a tito, a manong, he was affectionately known as Bob the Filipino American community of Chicago.

Bob served proudly in the U.S. Army and worked for the city of Chicago for 30-plus years. He was hardworking, generous, and made a friend out of everyone he met. His sense of humor and outgoing personality will be missed. He served briefly in the board of directors of the Filipino American Council of Greater Chicago before his passing. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew and love him.
