Nichole Rivas Art Works — FreshLens Chicago

Ever since I was a kid I have always had a passion for photography and I was so glad that I was able to join FreshLens Chicago. My passion for photography helps me see the world in a way that makes ordinary objects and scenes extraordinary. In the past, I had my photos in the Alley Gallery in Evanston and the Ravenswood Art Walk. Currently, my photos are in the Art Exhibition downtown at 737 N. Michigan and will be there until May 2021. With FreshLens, I have also put out a book with my own personal photos. My photos include the “Beautiful Dream”, “Lost Within the Fields”, and “Representation in the Flag.” Additionally, I have won a photography contest with FreshLens, I wanted to show what thanksgiving means to me and the picture of bolillo bread (Mexican Bread) represents my traditional family thanksgiving. Below are some of the photos that I took and each of the photos has a special meaning. – Nichole Michael Rivas (Westinghouse College Prep Senior)
