The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has started to issue second economic impact payments (EIP). Remember, the IRS, not the Social Security Administration (SSA), issues EIPs. SSA cannot answer EIP questions about your specifi c situation. The IRS is providing a status of EIPs with its Get My Payment tool at www.irs.gov/coronavirus/get-my-payment. Due to high demand, you may have to wait longer than usual to access this site. The IRS appreciates your patience. Please remember that the IRS, not the Social Security Administration, issues EIPs. The Social Security Administration cannot answer EIP questions about your specifi c situation.

If you have a question about the fi rst EIP, visit our page: Economic Impact Payments Paid by the CARES Act at www.ssa. gov/coronavirus/eip-cares-act. If you did not receive your fi rst EIP or you have other questions related to the fi rst EIP, please visit the IRS’ Economic Impact Payment Information Center webpage at www. irs.gov/coronavirus/economic-impact- payment-information-center, or you can call the IRS’ EIP hotline at 1-800-919-9835. Please remember that Social Security’s telephone representatives cannot answer EIP questions.

We have some information about the second EIPs for Social Security benefi ciaries and Supplemental Security Income recipients on our Second Economic Impact Payment webpage at www.ssa.gov/coronavirus/ eip2/. For other updates, please visit SSA’s COVID-19 page at www.ssa.gov/coronavirus. You can also subscribe to get an email or text message notifi cation when we update the page so you stay informed. Please share our COVID-19 page with your friends and family. # # #
