During the month of March we honor and celebrate all women – particularly those that have made contributions to history, culture and society. In just three more days Nancy Drew – one of the most beloved iconic female role models since the 1930’s – will also be celebrated as she makes her way back to the big screen in Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase. In theaters March 15 from Warner Bros., Ellen DeGeneres’ A Very Good Production and Red 56, the film stars Sophia Lillis (breakout star from IT and “Sharp Objects”), Sam Trammell (“True Blood” and “This is Us”), and Linda Lavin (“The Good Wife” and Alice ) – and follows Nancy Drew in her new town, making new friends and on a mission to solve the case!
Sam Trammell speaks to how the books bring you back to a simpler time, while Linda Lavin tells us how the books are captivating and read by so many young girls around the world who need a good role model! Sophia Lillis talks about her excitement to play Nancy Drew! Compared to her past roles – Nancy is a lighthearted young sleuth in such a heartwarming film!
