Green March is here!

Happy March! This month, we celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, and also are hopefully looking at a much warmer, spring weather. I, myself, am enjoying my spring break away from school and work – finding time to make new and fresh memories. And that’s my goal this coming spring break. Sometimes, we all need a break from the demands and busy-ness that life brings. As young college students, we may feel overwhelmed with balancing our personal lives, school, work and other important aspects of life. It is important to remain determined, to persevere through the difficult times, and to never stray away from one’s goals in life. As young growing adults, we must follow our dreams — as our dreams surely keep us going. Let’s hear from our four featured college students! If you’d like to be featured, please email me at tejerokayla@gmail.com .

Ardelle Tolentino says: “One of the many goals that I want to achieve when I graduate nursing school is to help those in need. I would like to open a clinic for those who cannot afford and are in need of medical assistance. Meanwhile, my goals while in school are to focus on my studies and volunteer at hospitals.”

Alexa Vee says: “While in school, I hope to gain the knowledge and clinical experience to prep me up for my future as a nurse in the ER. After graduation, I plan on taking classes to learn Tagalog in hopes of connecting with my family and with Tagalog speaking patients.”

Kent Diola says: “As a college student, I aspire to graduate school with all honors in Biology and join a dental graduate program. After school, I also want to use my experience in dentistry to either start my own business or work for a dental hygiene company.”

Hunter Pawlak says: “As a student, I want to focus on maintaining my G.P.A., and keeping any scholarships and grants that I have. After graduation, I plan on becoming a Marine Officer in the Marine Corps. After my service, I want to be hired as a Game Designer or Developer. In between, I want to have a family.”
