IPC BEVERAGE GROUP INTRODUCES ENERGICE – A ONEOF -A -KIND PRODUCT IN THE SPORTS ENERGY/HYDRATION CATEGORY

IPC Beverage Group announced the introduction of EnergIce®, the first of its kind vitamin- enriched premium ice bar that is revolutionizing the sports hydration and energy category. EnergIce® uses the world’s best and most hydrating ingredients packaged in the perfect on-field consumption size of 2.5 ounces. Energice® information is available online at www.EnergIce.com. EnergIce® has been tested and certified by global public health organization NSF International, earning the coveted NSF’s Certified for Sport® Certification. The NSF Certified for Sport program helps athletes, coaches and trainers make more informed decisions when choosing sports supplements by testing each lot of product to verify they do not contain harmful levels of contaminants and are free of more than 189 banned substances. Additionally, certified products are tested annually and facilities are audited against GMP requirements twice annually to verify ongoing compliance to the NSF Certified for Sport program. The NSF Certified for Sport program is recognized by the National Football League (NFL), Major League Baseball (MLB), National Hockey League (NHL), Professional Golf Association (PGA), Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA), as well as organizations such as the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) and the New York Police Department. “EnergIce® is a product inspired by a team of parents, elite athletes and coaches looking for an alternative to what they saw being consumed during sporting events,” stated Glenn Firestone, IPC Beverage Group, EnergIce® CEO. “Not only are the most prevalent sports drinks loaded with sugars and stimulants, they’re also rarely finished, and contribute to a massive amount of waste due to their packaging and serving size. We’re excited to offer the sports/fitness community a healthier, less wasteful way to re-hydrate and get the energy they need for peak performance.” “Athletes look for NSF Certified for Sport® products like EnergIce® to avoid harmful or adulterated supplements that could compromise their eligibility to compete, which is crucial for athletes which is crucial for athletes competing in all sports at all levels,” said Lisa Thomas, General Manager of NSF’s Dietary Supplement Certification programs.
