The 2021 Philippine Medical Association of Chicago (PMAC) and Philippine Medical Auxiliary Inaugural Ball

This was the first big gala event held this year that was attende d by more than 250 fashionable physicians, their spouses, guests, sponsors, and clergies, held at the Marriott Hotel in Naperville last September 25, 2021. Cooperating officers from both the Philippine Medical Association of Chicago or PMAC led by current President Dr. Zosimo Herrera, with PMAC Auxiliary President Salvy M. Marino, along with their respective Board of Governors of the PMAC, and the Board of Directors for the PMAC Auxiliary, garnered well-deserved accolades for the success of the ball, along with its well-planned programme, fun but classy atmosphere, and the successful support of sponsors, donors and guests who have contributed to their fundraising efforts to continue their Philippine missions and other charitable projects.

Salvy Marino, a dedicated RN, successful home health owner, and loving wife to Dr. Hector Marino who sadly passed over a year ago, unselfishly devoted her time and energy as the unanimously elected President of the PMAC Auxiliary, and supported the fundraising goals of the PMAC along with its President, Dr. Herrera and his wife Dr. Maria Gaddi-Herrera as a way of honoring Dr. Marino’s memory and dedication to the PMAC when he was actively supporting the organization. Through the various committee members, with their hard work and tireless networking, the result was a grand celebration of all their efforts with a programme that helped induct all the officers, presented awards to the deserving member physicians, featured inspirational speakers, as well as honored the memory of Dr. Rogelio Cave, an active PMAC member who joined his creator just a few days prior to this event, an d likewise to dynamic leader Dr. Vivencio Battung, who passed away a year ago.

All in all, it was THE gala event of the year, and with their humanitarian objectives and future missions, a party that was worth the COVID wait. Congratulations to all the officers, past presidents, their directors, governors, supporters, sponsors and donors—what a job well done!
