We can actually call it hectic for the months of June and July, two glorious and historical months for many Americans (4th of July) and Filipinos (June 12th) alike. Our kindred spirits of patriotism, loyalty, and love for our adored countries (USA and Philippines) have been shown worldwide, through celebrations exhibited in parades, fireworks, gala events, picnics, programs, awards, and more.

On this page, two different groups of active Filipino organizations, have proudly displayed their pride and participation for the honored and respected occasions.

The Pyesta Pinoy on top right is an annual Philippine Independence celebration by our kababayan in the western suburbs of Bolingbrook, headed by iconic leader Ruben Salazar. As you can glimpse, the traditional parade opens the occasion, followed by a showcase of Pinoy talents through concert, taste of Filipino foods from participating vendors and picnics abound.

The Filipino American Association of DuPage (FAASD), another active Filipino American organization in the southwestern suburbs, proudly participated in the July 4th parade, exhibiting leaders and beauties in decorated floats and cars, held in the town of Darien, IL.

Until next year!`
