MEET COMEDIANS POKWANG, POOH, CHOKOLEIT AND K BROSAN IN CHICAGO

Overview: Four of the best comedians in the Philippine entertainment…Pokwang, Pooh, Chokoleit and K Brosas have joined forces for a much anticipated performance of their concert “4 Da Best – Pak na Pak” – US Tour. It’s been on the works for many years and true enough they have been able to consistently fill up huge venues when they did it the first time and now it’s up to another dose of humor with Ms. K BROSAS, CHOKOLEIT, Ms. POKWANG and POOH in a grand showdown of fun and laughter It will be double the FUN and twice the LAUGHTER as these 4 comedians throw their comedic tactics in the US. Artists’ Background: Marietta Subong aka “Pokwang” – Pokwang is a comedienne, television host, actress and singer. Her career flourished after winning a competition in ABS-CBN, afterwards appearing in dramas and sitcoms for the network. She has received the Best Comedy Actress award from the Philippine Movie Press and Best Female Comedian from People’s Choice Awards in the Philippines. Pokwang continues to host numerous variety shows in the Philippines and is known for impersonating famous people. She has now a blockbuster movie titled ’MY ILLEGAL WIFE” its romance –comedy movie. She is the main actor in the movie . Its now showing all over US and Canada. Jonathan Aguilar Garcia aka “Chokoleit” – is a TV and movie comedian actor, stage comic and sing-along master who frequently performs at comedy bars and occasional guest appearances in several types of shows whose journey towards popularity has been long and winding but it had its sweet rewards as he has become one of the most popular faces in ABSCBNs shows. He is comfortable on making fun of himself. He said he smiles whenever he makes people laugh about his looks. According to him, one must have the guts to be comfortable in making fun of yourself where most people won’t dare go. He has been appearing in television sitcoms and films since 1995. Reynold Garcia aka “Pooh” – is a Filipino actor, comedian, impersonator, singer, and salon co-owner. Pooh first became a hit among patrons of Library, the popular comedy singalong bar in Malate where he was an in-house performer. With nightly practice, his segment billed as “Ayaw kong maging boxer. Gusto kong maging beauty queen!” [I don’t want to be a boxer. I want to be a beauty queen!] Became a favorite among the habitués and has already spread through the country. His stints on local TV has propelled him to greater heights and now his name has become a byword in the world of comic impersonation. He also has shows in Punchline, Laffline, and Metro Bar. He is known for currently starring in the comedy gag show Banana Split. He is also known for impersonating boxer and congressman Manny Pacquiao. He was the 2006 and 2007 awardee for Aliw Award best male stand-up comedian. He was again nominated in 2008. Maria Carmela Brosas aka “K Brosas” – is a Filipina actress, comedienne, singer and television host. She was a band member of Gladys and The Boxers and was lead singer when the group performed as K and The Boxers Since then, the name K Brosas didn’t only turn out to be a household name but automatically became synonymous to a totally packaged entertainment. Her doing Megastar Sharon Cuneta, Queen of Soul Jaya, Divine Diva Zsa-Zsa Padilla, International Sensation Lani Misalucha, and Phenomenal Diva Jessa Zaragosa is something that will surely make one either fall from his seat or die laughing or, in a worst case scenario, both, when one’s control unfortunately snaps off from reality. She is a proud veteran of numerous TV shows, sitcoms and films and recognitions all neatly tucked under her sleeves. As a freelance singer-actress-comedienne, K Brosas has done projects not only in literally almost every existing television-radio network in the country but also in all possible entertainment venues and key cities, not to mention her numerous successful shows abroad.
