16-year-old Roshlind of Canada urgently needs a blood stem cell transplant.

The young woman of Filipino descent is battling aplastic anemia and a rare blood disorder called PNH. Roshlind was looking forward to fi nishing high school and starting driver’s ed but those plans have been put on hold due to her illness and constant hospital stays. “I’ve been feeling sad, scared, lost and lonely,” she said. None of her family members were a match so she is relying on the generosity of strangers to register for the bone marrow registry so they can possibly save her life or the life of another South Asian patient.
