Though we are caught in the midst of winter in the month of February, no one can deny that this is a most celebrated month when it comes to love (Valentine’s), revelry (Mardi Gras), remembrances (Presidents’ Day) and (EDSA Revolution in the Philippines), including the Groundhog Day in Canada. Of course, there will be all kinds of reasons for us to celebrate, winter or no winter. Here in the Windy City known as Chicago, there’s an annual huge convention event that people from all over are looking forward to, and that is the Chicago Auto Show, the largest in the nation, even in the world.

People from all over the world fly into Chicago to participate and to see, touch, and feel the latest hi-tech concept cars first hand that are being unveiled to the public by different car manufacturing companies. Ahead of the public opening that always turns out chaotic, we were invited to cover and immediately rushed to the media preview at the McCormick Place’s media center filled with members of the international media.

As pictures can speak more than thousand words, let us regale you with some photos that we took at the Auto Show Media Preview at the McCormick Place on February 11. Public showing dates run from Feb. 13 to 21 f this month This VT’s February issue is full of the topic of LOVE — messages, stories, pictures and news, as you read your favorite columnists’ articles. You will enjoy reading them whether you’re on or off the socalled Love.

A surprise love dedication written by Joe Mauricio on page 20. “Objectively Harsh,” does not sound harsh at all–it’s written with so much passion and honesty–a real surprise to me as it is written as a Valentine dedication for this publisher, believe it or not.

Lou Cabalona’s interesting title of “I Wanna Know What Love Is (I Want You To Show Me”) is quite intriguing to start with, so follow her “Art” column on page 29. Rev. Nancy Abiera’s Valentine article on page 31 is deep and emotional, “A Valentine’s Message Lasting A Lifetime.” Elsie Sy-Niebar, Notebook, page 4, runs the gamut of exciting personalities from politicians to newlyweds, etc.

Beautiful and successful home healthcare entrepreneur, Mabel Turtogo Sacay, is our featured cover this month. She received our Hall of Fame crystal trophy award last November at our gala event. Congrats, Mabel!##
