Happy 80th Birthday Dr. Ed Ladlad

An accomplished Doctor from Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur, graduated from the University of Santo Thomas in 1967, internship in Surgery at Norwegian Hospital. Completed OBGYN residency in Cook County Hospital. Highlights of his career includes:

1. Cook County Hospital Associate Attending Staff from 1974-78;

2. Private practice at Norwegian American, St Mary and St Elizabeth Hospitals from 1974-2005;

3. Vice President at NAH Medical Staff from 1991-1992;

4. President of the NAH Medial Staff from 1993-1994;

5. Board of Trustees of NAH from 1989-2010;

6. Vice President of NAH Foundation from 1995-2003;

7. Charter President of NAH Century Lions Club from 1993-1994;

8. President of NAH Investment Club from 1993-2010;

9. Co-Founder of the NAH Annual Medical Missions;

10. Served as a member of the Asian American Advisory Council of Secretary Jesse White;

11. Awarded Melvin Jones Fellow by Lions Club International;

Enjoys playing golf and travelling with his wife Nelia. Among his notable travels are a once in a lifetime dining experience on top of the Eiffel Tower where there is only 20 tables individually served by a personal chef and played golf with his wife at the exclusive course at St Andrews Golf Course (the birthplace of golf) in Scotland. Some of the places they visited were Istanbul, Greece, Paris, Prague, London, Rome, Madrid, Barcelona, Bangkok, Hongkong, Macau, Boracay and El Nido. He is the current President of their non profit company serving the elderly and Chairman of the Board of their Home care companies. He enjoys ballroom dancing with Nelia and Karaoke singing with friends.
