The Taste of Chicago Announcement

On May 27, the Via Times was invited to hear and share what the Taste of Chicago will bring this year. And what an announcement it was… The venue was The Boarding House, owned and operated by highlyacclaimed master sommelier, Alpana Singh. She was also the star of the restaurant favorite T.V. show “Check Please.”

Just so everyone knows I was on the show for a restaurant I was a partner with in 2012. In addition to Alpana, there were restaurateur superstars Kevin Boehm and Rob Katz. Award winning chefs, rising star chefs and the re-elected mayor Rahm Emanuel.

After the announcement, media and guests had the opportunity to also taste a few of the dishes and restaurants that will be participating this year and they were all delicious.

So here is what is going on this year at the Taste of Chicago:
