Santacruzan Cultural Fashion Show

The Santacruzan Fashion show was held on April 15, 2023 at Ashton Place. This fundraising event was brought to you by Santacruzan Cultural Group Of Greater Chicago (SCGGC) led by their President RJ Turija. The Santacruzan Fashion show is a fundraising event to benefit the Religious and cultural activities of SCGGC throughout the year such as Santacruzan and Flores De Mayo in the month of May. The Fashion show featured a Hablon inspired Modern filipiniana designed by Iloilo Designer Jeff Ticao and Modern Filipiniana Gowns designed by Filipino designers from the Philippines such as Tata Blas Pinuela, Antonio Deloso among others. Our retired Doctors, our four loving Filipino Priests from the Diocese of Joliet , our retired, Nurses , business women along with the kids and youth members of SCGGC joined hands and together they volunteered to model all these lovely Filipiniana gowns! The show was spectacular as it showed the richness of Filipino culture. The opening number showed “Larong Pambata “ where the kids playing different Filipino street games were featured. It also Featured different Filipino dances such as Dinagyang, Tinikling, Malong and Muslim dances among others. It truly was a spectacular night for all! Santacruzan Cultural Fashion Show and SCGGC! … dedicated to fostering unity, growth and continued awareness of our rich cultural heritage.
