CAHE (Center for Asian Health Equity)

CAHE (Center for Asian Health Equity) marked its media launch with an informative session on April 13th at the Newberry Library, that included a panel discussion surrounding Asian American health disparities moderated by Emmy award-winning journalist Nesita Kwan. The aim of the event is to answer questions from the media and valued community and university partners, and explain why the Center was created in 2015.

The panelists included Jerry Clarito (Exec, Dir. of the Alliance for Filipino Immigration Rights); Philip Hsu (MD-PhD Student at the University of Chicago-Pritzker School of Medicine); Dr. Karen Kim (Director of CAGE and Professor of Medicine at the University of Chicago Medicine); and Dr. Julie Morita Commissioner of the Chicago Department of PublicHealth).
