“Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”

Isaiah 43:18-19

August is the 8th month when written sideways is infinity. Wikipedia says, Infinity (symbol: ∞) is a concept describing something without any bound or larger than any natural number. In Biblical terms, it means new beginning that is endless.

We have all been given opportunities for new beginnings yet we get stuck to the old. People love change yet they do not want to change. Did you know that every time you change, it is a new beginning? Sadly, whether we agree or not, change is imminent. I developed a discipline to change in little/ big ways. This made my life so fulfilling and easy during transition. Some of the ways I changed are as follows:

I worked in Finance and Accounting as a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) for more than 20 years and moved on to become a pastor, CPA too (Christ’s Paboritong Anak-ng-Diyos) for almost 20 years now. I changed my calling and religion to a relationship with Jesus. 40 years of struggles in the wilderness led me to the 20 years journey into the Promise Land. I still feel like in my 20’s with 40 years of experience. LOL.

As a minister, I followed Lord as He led me. Trusting God who is Infinite is better than trusting myself who is finite.

When I came to America 34 years ago, it was so quick to just pack up and leave the country I was born, raised and started a career. Yes, it was scary but it was also exciting venturing into new things. I have proven, God was always there with me always: in sorrow and in joy; in rough and smooth places; in crisis and in calm times. No regrets. I chose truth with faith to change rather than stuck in a fear-driven life. It is not too late for you for a new beginning. Learn from my FABABALA (my Tagalog word for Fabulous Advise).
