GIVING THANKS TO OUR ELDERS

Chinese Mutual Aid Association Hosted Early Thanksgiving Luncheon at New Furama Restaurant for its Homemakers Clients & Golden Age Club Members

Chicago, IL – Chinese Mutual Aid Association (CMAA), a pan-Asian nonprofit that helps people from all ethnic backgrounds including Filipinos, hosted last month an early Thanksgiving luncheon for its’ homemakers clients and Golden Age Club members on November 13, 2015 at New Furama restaurant in the Uptown neighborhood in Chicago. The early Thanksgiving luncheon featured a Chinese feast, live entertainment, raffle prizes, and CMAA staff educating guests about its free and low-cost services for all generations.

One of CMAA’s core services for the community is its homemakers program which assists eligible low-income clients 60 years & over as well as people with disabilities for free in maintaining their independence and dignity while enjoying the comforts of their own homes. Homemakers staff can accommodate a wide variety of languages such as Tagalog and provide complimentary services such as medical visit accompaniment, personal care, meal preparation and much more.

CMAA is currently licensed to provide non-medical homemaking services for eligible clients in Cook County townships, the city of Chicago and all of the collar counties-DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry and Will.
