Tessie Zaretsky

THEN: Tessie de Garriz Road worked as secretary in the Operations Department of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). Photo taken at the old ADB Headquarters in Roxas Boulevard, Manila. Through ADB missions, traveled extensively through Southeast Asia: to East and West Pakistan in 1971; to Sri Lanka in 1973; to Indonesia in 1974; and to Nepal in 1979.

NOW: Tessie Zaretsky Retired as Executive Assistant to the Head of Human Resources at The Northern Trust Bank in Chicago and Past Cabinet member, District 1-A Lions. Present stats: President of the Franklin Park-Manila Lions Club; Trustee, Franklin Park District Library; Secretary, Triton Community Garden Club; and a Mama to three wonderful grandkids.

 

Dr. Remy Escalona

THEN: A pretty young medical student at the University of Santo Tomas in 1955.

NOW: Still a very active community leader in Chicago at the age of 90. Taken at the PIWC kick-off gala held on January 17, 2024 at Allegra Banguets, by her loving husband, Dr. Manny Escalona.
