Ireally do feel good that this writer was born in the Year of the Dragon, according to the Chinese’s animal calendar, which recycles every twelve years. The personality traits of people born in the year of the dragon are: charismatic, intelligent, confident, powerful and they are naturally lucky and gifted. In everything that they do, they tend to do it to the best of their ability with high standards. How’s that for my Chinese zodiac?

The Chinese dragon is considered a celestial and divine creature. The dragon has long held a power position in the Chinese zodiac, showering success upon those born in its years. With 2024 being a year of the dragon, legends explain that the mythical creature’s good fortune will be sprinkled upon all. So, good fortune will not only be sprinkled upon me but for all.

The year of the Dragon is especially fortunate for babies, marriages and businesses. Those born as Dragons are believed to be smart, lucky and magnanimous. For this family in particular, having a Dragon baby was not only auspicious for the child but also for the parents.

One big occasion that must be celebrated this month is Valentine’s Day (honoring St. Valentine). It is a celebration of love and affection, a time when people express their feelings to their romantic partners, friends, family members, and even pets. Traditionally, it’s associated with the exchange of cards, gifts, and romantic gestures to show appreciation and affection.

Speaking of zodiac signs, this time the western zodiac, I have with me in the picture, two popular VT columnist who are birthday celebrants this month and next month. They are VT columnists Girlie Pascual (GMail) and Melody Dizon (Health Matters), Girlie, an Aquarian, is being featured as the VT Cover Girl with her grandson Kenzo this month, and has recently celebrated her birthday last February 7th. Aquarians are clever, analytical, technical, truthful, assertive, confident, progressive and innovative. Melody is a Pisces born on March 3rd, Zodiac says Piscean are highly creative and imaginative, as well as compassionate and loving. Happy birthday to both of you, Girlie and Melody! Girlie is at left of picture and Melody is at right, me in the middle.
