On New Year’s Resolutions Failures

It’s that time of the year to resolve on something that we hope, dream, and plan on following through devotedly for the rest of the year. How to keep new year’s resolutions is always that painstakingly ugly head that detracts and befalls upon so many people who desire to make some kind of improvements to themselves, more or less to shape up, at the beginning of the new year.

Are you the type that would fall on the wayside in the pursuit of your resolutions? Don’t be faint of heart, as you are not alone in this matter. “Only 46% of people who made New Year’s resolutions were successful, meaning over half of the people who set a goal for the new year will fail”, as published in the Journal of Clinical Pychology. In one study, “only 12% of people who make New Year’s resolutions felt that they were successful in achieving their goals.” Remember, there’s always a next year to start all over again, some kind of looking through colored glasses. I must say. As always the case, willpower gives in to the strong negative influ ences that destroy one’s self. “Just can’t quit smoking,” as some would say later.

So there goes our resolve to be a little different and achieve higher and better for the improvement of ourselves, yet we fail, through the months of the new year. But, some word of advice, please keep it up. Never give up. It’s just the beginning of the new year, Happy new year to all!
